The SOZIAHR Research Team

As a diverse research team drawing on the fields of economics, law, geography, sociology and political science, we have been working together since June 2024 to advance social science research on the Ahr Valley.

Exploring the Ahr Valley

Work retreat in Altenahr

The SOZIAHR team spent two days in Altenahr in early October 2024 to discuss and plan joint research activities. The questionnaire for next year’s population survey was further developed, and the project name and logo were created during this visit as well.

Excursions to Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler

During two days in July 2024, the research project team travelled to the district town of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrtal to get to know the area better and to get in touch with various stakeholders to talk about reconstruction and the well-being of local people.
